Hotel Pitrizza: Low Stone Buildings on a Private Beach

Instead of a tall hotel block, the Pitrizza favors low stone bungalows set into the rock โ€“ more understated than many of its neighbours on the Costa Smeralda, but just as exclusive.

Architecture & concept

Like the Cala di Volpe, the Pitrizza is one of the Costa Smeralda's original hotels from its founding era in the 1960s. The individual suites, built in the local style, are spread across several low buildings along the coast rather than combined into a single large hotel block.

Private beach & pool

The property has its own stretch of beach as well as a seawater pool set into the granite rock โ€“ an architecturally elaborate detail that underlines the close connection to the rocky Gallura coastline.

Good to know: the Pitrizza also belongs to the upper price bracket and is open seasonally. Its location away from the centre of Porto Cervo makes for a quieter stay than in the busier parts of the Costa Smeralda.
Where other luxury hotels build upward, the Pitrizza deliberately stays low and unassuming.

Who it suits

Ideal for travelers wanting to combine the luxury of the Costa Smeralda with a bit more seclusion and their own stretch of coast.
