Camping on La Maddalena: Tenting in the Archipelago

Location within the national park
Most of the archipelago is a national park, with turquoise water and coves reachable only by boat. On the main island of La Maddalena itself, several campsites serve as a starting point for excursions into the park.
Getting there
La Maddalena is reachable from Palau by ferry, with the crossing taking only about 15 to 20 minutes. This makes the archipelago easy to combine with a stay on the Costa Smeralda.
Practical tip: from La Maddalena, day trips to the neighbouring islands of Caprera, Spargi, and Budelli are possible – though the famous pink Spiaggia Rosa on Budelli is strictly off-limits to protect the sand.
If you camp in the archipelago, you don't need to plan a long ferry ride every day to reach the most beautiful coves.
